¹⁰ A man was there who had a withered hand, and hoping to find some reason to accuse Jesus they asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”

¹¹ He said to them, “Suppose you had only one sheep and it fell into a pit on the Sabbath. Would you not lay hold of it and lift it out? ¹² How much more valuable a man is than a sheep! Therefore, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
